When should newborn sessions be scheduled?

Newborn sessions are best scheduled during pregnancy. When booking, you can choose a tentative date about two weeks after your due date.
If your baby arrives earlier or later than expected, I am flexible and we can always adjust your session date. Booking before your baby arrives helps ensure I have availability reserved for you.
Fine art or lifestyle, which option is best for me?

Fine art sessions are only offered in my studio and must be scheduled within your baby’s first two weeks. These sessions must be booked before your baby is born to ensure availability. This is the classic newborn experience with softly bundled poses, simple props, and carefully styled setups. The style is more polished, elegant, and perfectly posed, creating timeless newborn portraits.
Lifestyle sessions have a more candid and documentary approach. They focus on real connection, natural moments, and the emotional details of your baby’s first days. These sessions are ideally done when your baby is around two weeks old, but can be scheduled up to six weeks. Lifestyle sessions can take place in my studio, in your home, or at the hospital after your baby is born. They are perfect if you love storytelling images, natural light, and images that capture your family exactly as you are in this season.
Are props and wraps provided?

Fine art sessions include a curated selection of wraps and simple props.
In-studio lifestyle sessions also include wraps.
In-home lifestyle sessions do not include wraps or props and are photographed using what you already have in your home for a natural, lived-in feel.
In-home or studio, which should I choose?

Studio sessions are a great option if you do not have a specific space in your home for photos or if you prefer not to worry about preparing your home for your session. My bright, natural-light studio is located at 12340 Jones Rd, Houston, TX 77070.
In-home sessions are perfect if you love a more relaxed, documentary feel in your own space. Please keep in mind that in-home sessions do not include wraps and a driving fee may apply
Is my baby safe during the session?

Your baby’s safety is my top priority. I am trained in newborn posing and handling, and all vaccines are up to date. My studio is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before and after every session to provide a safe and comfortable environment for your baby.
How do I prepare for our session?

A detailed style and prep guide will be sent to you before your session with everything you need to know, including outfit guidance, feeding tips, and what to expect on the day of your session.
